This tour is designed to discover all the sights of Santa Maria del Fiore. We will guide you through all the buildings that form this complex: St John’s Baptistery, opened by the three magnificent bronze doors by Andrea Pisano and the best-known Lorenzo Ghiberti, Giotto’s Bell Tower, with its polychrome marbles and geometric shapes, in perfect harmony with the Cathedral, the Duomo, crossed underground by the crypt and its mysteries. Together we will climb on top of the majestic dome engineered by Brunelleschi, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole city. On the way our knowledgeable guide will show you the Orsanmichele Church, a unique monument which joins civil and religious functions. Among the fourteen statues treasured by the Church there are works by illustrious artists such as Lorenzo Ghiberti, Brunelleschi, Donatello and Giambologna. From here, a short walk will lead us to the Palagio di Parte Guelfa, a complex of buildings built in the first decades of the 14th century that once used to host the headquarters of the Parte Guelfa, during the years of the fight with the the Ghibellini, the other major political party of the time, here our tour ends.
